History Of The Bugatti Racing Car

Bugatti name may be familiar with the name, but the brand among car enthusiasts is one of the icons, even if only a few thousand Bugatti ever built. In France, Ettore Bugatti, an Italian immigrant, the company is legendary for producing the finest and fastest cars in the world. From 1909 - when the company was one of the first car manufacturers still exist - the Bugatti brand has experienced quite a renaissance in the last fifteen years.

At the beginning of World War II, it looked as if Bugatti had to be a leading candidate for the domination of the race. Bugatti's team won the first Monaco Grand Prix in 1929.
