Alfa Romeo Car Show & Vehicle History
One of the all time classic European cars is the Alfa Romeo. This Italian car has a long and rich history. Darracq Italiana is where the story begins. This company, founded in 1907 by an Italian in Milan, Cavaliere Ugo Stella, was associated with the French car company owned by Alexandre Darracq. The first cars were produced in Naples, but the alliance soon after the company collapsed and Ugo Stella moved to a small area of Milan, and the new company is now called ALFA. The acronym for Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili ALFA (Lombard Automobile Factory address).
The first is produced Darracq cars in 1920 and was an impressive 24 hp. Designer Giuseppe Merosi, and then go to the design of new ALFA cars with more powerful engines and a stylish exterior.
